Meet the team

Phil Robinson

Phil thinks big! He founded Back9 (part-time) back in 2008 and launched it with no holds barred in July 2013. Since then he hasn’t looked back. He hasn’t had time to! The idea was (and still is) to create an agency that could not only deliver great design and marketing solutions to fellow ambitious local businesses but create an environment that creatives want to be a part of too.

Tanya Du Piesanie

Tanya joined the Back9 team in April 2018. Originally from South Africa, she brings a dynamic and fresh approach to design. She enthusiastically tackles any challenge and her creativity extends to anything from branding and logo design to web design, and even to the odd smart comment about Phil dominating the world. Design is her mojo.

Aria Tongs

Aria has relocated from Wellington to join our awesome team. We’re stoked to have her and her contagious energy on board and can’t wait to show you some of her awesome work, watch this space!

Emma Lindsay

Emma is a go-getter. She understands exactly what is needed to promote a business through web and social media platforms and while Phil is conquering the world, she has her eyes set on the moon. Great with multi-tasking and attention to detail, she goes above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to providing digital marketing solutions.
