Printing.com PLC said it is optimistic about future prospects as it reported a 151 pcr rise in first half pretax profit to 631,000 stg from 251,000 while sales rose to 5.56 mln stg from 4.77 mln in the previous first half.- Operating profits rose to 726,000 stg in the period to Oct 10 2004 from 388,000 a year earlier and basic EPS was up at 1.09 pence a share from 0.45 pence.
- To date the Store estate comprises 27 open units, 11 of which are company owned and 16 franchised. Two stores will open shortly and a further six options are in place for additional stores, the group said.
- A strong pipeline of prospective franchisees are currently being interviewed and assessed. Accordingly, Printing.com is optimistic that another wave of options will be granted prior to the close of the current fiscal year, it said.
- Printing.com produces leaflets, booklets, postcards, promotional cards, invitations, letterheads and business cards to consumers and small and medium sized companies from its production facility at the head office in Manchester.
