Operating in a growing market believed to be worth upeards of £1bn, printing.com hopes to join Ofex next monthAlready an astablished printing business with sales approaching £3m a year, future growth is planned by the roll-out of retail bureaux across the UK. The typical unit has lower set-up costs than rivals because all printing is carried out at athe head office in Manchester. This means mass production runs and competitive pricing, allowing the bureaux to concentrate on design, sales and marketing. To date, five have been opened and the plan is to increase this to 45 in three years' time. Franchising may be considered. Printing is carried out in colour and the product range includes leaflets, posters and business cards. Customers can access the internet to order and design products using Flyerworx, a software package developed in-house.
